Georgios is based at the University of Oxford and his research focuses on better understanding and modeling the thermo-mechanical properties of polymers and their composites, specifically the response to high-strain rate loading.
He graduated from the University of Patras as a valedictorian with a MEng in Structural Engineering in 2021. After his studies he worked as a research assistant in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics in the University of Patras and in the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology in Dresden. His research there focused on studying the response of composite materials subjected to soft body impact and blast loading using numerical modeling. In 2022, he joined the Boeing company as an aerospace stress analysis engineer in the division of commercial airplanes. Georgios works under the supervision of Prof Clive Siviour.
