Victor is based at the University of Oxford and his research project is titled "Polymer electrolyte and binders for solid-state batteries"
Victor graduated with a degree in Chemistry from the University of Zaragoza after which he joined the Institute for Molecular Science and Engineering at Imperial and graduating with an MRes. He then completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge working on the synthesis of new materials for batteries and (photo)electrocatalysts, in the groups of Professor Dame Clare Grey and Professor Dom Wright. His postdoc project aligns with SCHEMA as it seeks to replace fluorinated binders in batteries with non-fluorinated polymers derived from renewable feedstocks such as CO2 or epoxides.
