Dr Steph Montanaro

Steph holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Loughborough University (2021), where her research focused on the design, synthesis, and photophysical evaluation of three-dimensional organic materials for optoelectronic applications, including organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and photovoltaics. She later joined Cambridge Photon Technology (CPT), a spin-out from the University of Cambridge, where she progressed to Technical Team Lead, managing multi-partner research projects in sustainable energy technologies. She is now the SCHEMA Hub Operations and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusiveness Manager, where she leads on operational delivery, strategic ED&I initiatives, and the development of a positive, inclusive research culture across the hub’s multi-university consortium.
