Call for Proposals - Early Stage Commercialisation Projects I

Funding translational research for sustainable chemicals and materials

The SCHEMA Hub is inviting applications for Early Stage Commercialisation (ESC) Projects to support co-created, translational research between academic Co-Investigators and strategic partners.

This call supports the SCHEMA Hub mission to transform the sustainability of chemicals and materials manufacturing by funding high-impact projects that move cutting-edge research closer to real-world application.

What’s This Call About?

ESC Projects are short-term, focused research collaborations designed to:

The projects should aim to translate scientific excellence into clear, measurable benefits; whether through new technologies, scalable solutions, or enabling tools for sustainable manufacturing.

 

 

Who Can Apply?

  • Lead Applicants must be current SCHEMA Hub Co-Investigators (Co-I)
  • Other academics from SCHEMA Hub institutions (Oxford, Bath, Cambridge, Cardiff, Liverpool, York) are welcome to be included as collaborators on the proposal but cannot be the lead investigator
  • Proposals must involve a strategic partner – new partners must show evidence of prior engagement or alignment with SCHEMA
